Marissa Coté, mezzo-soprano, is a seasoned soloist and professional chorister and conductor.  She earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Hartt School of Music, and a Masters Degree at CUNY Brooklyn College. Throughout the course of her studies in classical voice, she has studied privately with Mitchell Piper, Jane Bunnell, Mark Schnaible, and Patricia McCaffrey.  Her operatic credits include Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro),  Der Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos), Gertrude (Romeo et Juliette), L'Enfant (L'Enfant et les Sortileges), and The Spirit (Dido and Aeneas).

As a chorister, she's had the pleasure of singing with such acclaimed ensembles such as the Cathedral Choir of St. John the Divine, Manhattan Chorale, The New York Choral Society and The Dessoff Choirs. She's also performed with the professional choirs of St. Ignatius of Antioch, Church of St. Thomas More, St. John's Episcopal Church, St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church and First Congregational Church of Cheshire, CT.

She currently serves as the Assistant Director and President for NYC based choir, Tapestry.
